I’m making some changes to the layout and display of the gallery so pictures are a bit bigger and the gallery hopefully runs faster. In the meantime, the album thumbnails are going to look terrible until I get around to resizing everything.

Well, classes are over and its time to cram.  Thanks to everyone for a wonderful year!  Stay posted for info on the Annual Retreat, on Sept 15 & 16 (Tues and Wed).  Have a great summer and good luck on finals!

If you’re driving to banquet, please come to Sungod at 5:45 to grab people and head downtown.  We have 60 people going, so we need as many cars at Sungod as possible!

Don’t forget, today is elections! If you’re not going to be at rehearsal, send your votes to Amanda by tonight!

Also, we’re taking our end of the year picture tonight, so remember to bring your hawaiian shirt.

Notes for this week:

• We have a group of pepbanders participating in the junkyard derby this year. Interested parties should get in contact with Tsukasa. Building of the apparatus begins on Wednesday, with the race occurring during Sun God on Friday.
• Saturday is a 2-for-1 gig special. We’ll be playing for Transfer Admit day in the morning, followed by grabbing lunch somewhere, followed by playing for the San Diego Children’s Book festival. This is at a library near campus, for those who remember the event last year.
• The year is coming to a close! This means it’s time to get rid of the old and busted officers and elect some new ones. Keep in mind if you want to run for one of these fine officer positions or if you know someone who would be perfect for one. We’ll be nominating people for positions starting next week, with actual elections taking place during week 9.
• Banquet is coming up! We have a sweet reservation at Rock Bottom in Downtown, so make sure to save the date on May 29 for delicious food, fun prizes and the ensuing madness afterward.

Phew! What an awesome weekend. I hope everyone’s rested and recovered. Since you’re most likely not, we’re not actually having rehearsal tomorrow. Instead, we’re going to barbecue the rest of the food left over from Davis! The plan is to meet at Ryland/Jason Moore/Brian Favelas place and walk to a park near them. Rides at Sun God, be there by 5:45pm.

In other news, we were so awesome at Admit Day we got invited to participate in a parade for the Linda Vista Multi-cultural Fair this Saturday. It’s a fairly short parade, though it is in the morning. Since we don’t have many gigs left for the year, I highly recommend going to get your weekly dose of pep! The time posted may change since we haven’t finalized plans yet.

Speaking of not finalizing plans…. we also have a Sushi Night semi-planned for Saturday Night. Continuing the fine tradition started by Kirk and I, we will be making fresh sushi out of whatever we have at hand (hopefully mostly fresh fish, though we have been known to use bonfire turkey before). Details will be posted as soon as we have them.
