It’s time for the mid-quarter bonfire! Take a break from studying for midterms and enjoy the beach, there even might be a special surprise for the newcomers…

Sunday, November 8th
8:29a  Juvenile Diabetes Walk– Meet at RIMAC CLOSET (next to the green room)
**As quoted from Jason Wiese** Yes, it’s early.  Yes, we’ve done a few gigs this week.  Yes, you’d rather be sleeping.  Why should you come out?  This gig involves a free t-shirt and FREE FOOD!  Besides, we’re supporting little kids who have been diagnosed with diabetes.  You’ve got a whole lifetime of sleeping in, but some of these kids don’t have such a long lifetime ahead of them, so wake up and support them!  I promise we’ll be done early, and then you can go home and take a nap.
We’ve got a lot of gigs this week, so make it out to as many as you can! I guarantee you’ll have a good time!

Fools on Parade

Oct-18-2009 By Caleb

Quick run of events this week:

  • Chancellor’s 5K challenge: Started by Bob Dynes who was an amazing runner, watch Fox attempt to pretend she’s also a runner while pepping up the runners as they start the annual 5k.
  • Women’s Volleyball: Our team is kicking ass this year, and is ranked #1 in our region and #2 in the country for division 2 (I believe). Let’s help them keep up the winning streak by showing up and cheering them on!
  • BOO! Parade: Our first parade. Make sure you memorize some of the easy songs we play (Louie Louie, Gimme some lovin’ etc.) and make sure to throw together a costume! Rides will be arranged on Tuesday. Plan on being around the parade route (Near El Cajon & College) before 10am.
  • Movie Night: We have a ton of movies available, plus Rock Band & Beatles Rock Band. Sure to be a fun time! If you’re feeling a might peckish bring food to grill as well.

Water Polo Location

Sep-24-2009 By Caleb

As you may already know, Canyon View Pool recently kersploded and is currently unusable. Looks like our water polo games are being held at La Jolla High School – Here are directions from RIMAC.

On that note, we’re meeting at the hobbit hole near the Green Room (where the stands etc. are currently stored) to load up everything and leave, starting at 4:59pm. Be there by 5:20 to get a ride!

Fall Quarter Imminent

Sep-7-2009 By Caleb

The school year is quickly approaching us. The officers have slaved away a whole weekend planning out the year, and now you can see what’s in store for the pepband! Things to check:

  • The official schedule for the retreat is now posted.
  • The schedule for the whole quarter is pretty much up.
  • Some updates to the officer page are finally up

Don’t be daunted by all the events in the first two weeks. Just remember that attendance is not mandatory, you can show up whenever you have the time to do so. Also, if you’re planning on coming to any part of the retreat, make sure to fill out the form. If you changed your mind and are not coming, let us know.
