Post Davis Madness

Apr-21-2009 By Caleb

Phew! What an awesome weekend. I hope everyone’s rested and recovered. Since you’re most likely not, we’re not actually having rehearsal tomorrow. Instead, we’re going to barbecue the rest of the food left over from Davis! The plan is to meet at Ryland/Jason Moore/Brian Favelas place and walk to a park near them. Rides at Sun God, be there by 5:45pm.

In other news, we were so awesome at Admit Day we got invited to participate in a parade for the Linda Vista Multi-cultural Fair this Saturday. It’s a fairly short parade, though it is in the morning. Since we don’t have many gigs left for the year, I highly recommend going to get your weekly dose of pep! The time posted may change since we haven’t finalized plans yet.

Speaking of not finalizing plans…. we also have a Sushi Night semi-planned for Saturday Night. Continuing the fine tradition started by Kirk and I, we will be making fresh sushi out of whatever we have at hand (hopefully mostly fresh fish, though we have been known to use bonfire turkey before). Details will be posted as soon as we have them.

Second Davis Committee Meeting!

Apr-7-2009 By Sarah

The second Davis Committee meeting is going to be this Sunday at 1:00. Again, it will take place at Ryland, Jason and Brian’s house. I know it’s Easter, but please come out if you have nothing else planned because we need to crank out those decorations before Davis!

If you need a ride, contact Tsukasa. He will be giving rides from Sun God at 12:45.

Davis committee meeting

Apr-4-2009 By Sarah

This Sunday at 1:00 the Davis committee will be meeting at Ryland, Jason and Brian’s house. The Davis committee makes decorations for Davis that fit with our theme. Who can be in the Davis committee? Anyone! We’d love to have your help, especially if you have any artistic or creative abilities.

If you need a ride from campus, contact Tsukasa. He will be leaving from Sun God at 12:45.

Well, maybe we do.  But either way, 10th week we always have a social activity to ease the stress that is coming our way in the form of finals.  So, this Tuesday, we’re going to adult roller skating!  Thats right, its for the big kids only at Skateworld.  Bring $8 to skate and $4 to rent if you don’t have your own.

Rides at Sungod parking lot at 7:33.

If you have a car, come pick people up!!  See you there!

No BBall Game- Volleyball Tonight!

Mar-7-2009 By Amanda

The men’s basketball team lost to San Bernardino on Friday night, so we will be playing at the volleyball game instead.  Come on out, its your very last chance to earn scholarship for Davis!

Basketball Championships!

Mar-2-2009 By Amanda

Hey folks,

So both of our teams have made it to the CCAA Basketball Championships.  What this means for us:  this Tuesday, instead of rehearsal, we’re playing at both Women’s and Men’s games, normal doubleheader times beginning at 5:00pm.

Also, they will be playing during the day on Friday if they win on Tuesday.  Pending that and winning on Friday as well, they may be playing on Saturday in San Bernardino, and we’ll be carpooling up there to play for them.

**In a nutshell:  On Saturday, we’re either meeting at 4pm to go up to SB, or at 6:30 to play at Men’s Volleyball.  We will let you know on Friday night, as soon as we know who’s won, what the plan is.

CANCELED:  Men Lost against San Bernardino 72-76

And the Davis Theme is…

Feb-26-2009 By Caleb

Toys! Look back to the halcyon days of your youth and remember all the fine toys filled with lead, mercury, and choking hazards that you just can’t find anymore. There’s a costume reservation thread going on in here, so make sure to reserve your favorite costume before someone else jacks it.

Also, if you have ideas for music for the intro, give a holler to Jason Moore to help him out.

In other news, this years edition of Notations has been posted in full color for your viewing pleasure.

Singing in the rain…

Feb-5-2009 By Caleb

… is fine with me, but we’re not going to be playing in it. No water polo today due to the rain! Enjoy your Thursday everyone.
